When do I get paid?
Every day is Payday! – Payroll opens at 3pm daily
How do I get a raise?
You can get an instant raise by taking our TLC Safety Trained Program (ask for further details). Additionally, like any other job, raises are based on job performance and skill-set.
Do I have to report to your office every day?
Yes, we require everyone to report to our office daily
Do I need a car?
No, we have a shuttle service to get you to site each day. However, if you do have a car and transport yourself and others to a job site, we will help supplement your gas.
How do I get to the job site?
We offer a shuttle service to those who don’t have their own transportation. Other options are to car pool, walk or take the bus
Do I need my own personal protective equipment/gear?
No. We can supply you with all basic PPE (hard hat, steel toes, high viz vest) and basic tools such as: hammers, tool belts etc. However, if you have your own you are welcome to bring them
Do you provide a company orientation?
Yes, all applicants go through basic TLC Orientation. Most client sites offer a site specific orientation. Additionally we encourage you to take our TLC Safety Trained program.
Can you help me get full time employment?
Absolutely. We strive to help all TLC employees to move forward in their careers. We ask that you work hard, work safe and have good attitude. Please request a meeting with our management so we can learn how we can help you move forward
Do I have to take a job if it is offered to me?
No, accepting a job or not is completely up to you.
What should I bring with me when I come in to apply?
Bring 2 pieces of ID and a resume with work experience and references. Also, bring any certificates or tickets you may have.
What kind of ID do I need?
We require 1 piece of photo ID and a 2nd piece of government issued ID
Can I just phone in to see if there is work instead of coming in the morning?
We fill our same day orders with the people in our office each day. So please come down to our office at 6am. We look forward to seeing you!
Do you charge me if you find me a job?
No, the workers are never charged a fee for our service.
Why should I work for you vs. pounding the pavement myself in search of employment?
We would recommend doing whatever you think is best. Something to consider is we have relationships with many contractors in town. We can get you on site in front of an employer which gives you an opportunity to audition for full-time work. Many find this approach better.
Why TLC instead of one of the other agencies in town?
It depends on what you are looking for. If you only want to work a day or 2 per month, we may not be the right fit. However, if you are looking for ongoing regular work with an opportunity for full-time employment, then please consider us
