COR Certified

Trades Labour Corporation Victoria is COR certified for both Occupational Health & Safety and Injury Management.

The Certificate of Recognition (COR) is a voluntary incentive program that recognizes companies who develop and implement health and safety and injury management systems that meet an industry standard.

The program rewards employers who take a strategic approach to workplace safety and are committed to reducing both the human and financial costs of workplace injuries. COR certification is offered by WorkSafeBC and delivered through Certifying Partners. The BCCSA is the COR Certifying Partner for employers in the construction industry.

We offer 3rd party safety audits

TLC has a certified Construction Safety Officer (CSO) on staff as a resource internally and for our clients.

Full-time CSO On Staff

Sometimes it takes a second set of eyes to identify a problem – one with a fresh perspective and an unbiased view. That is the essence of an external audit.
The results of our audit help you identify any previously unseen flaws. If no problems are discovered, the audit provides third-party documentation that your health and safety management system is functioning well.

TLC Safety Trained

An optional safety program offered to TLC workers. The course is free and taught by TLC’s Safety Officer. It covers basic construction safety topics and is approx an hour in length.

Those TLC employees that have taken and passed the course can be identified by the TLC Safety Trained sticker on the back of their hard hats.

TLC employees must achieve a minimum 80% passing grade.

Traffic Control / Flagging

At TLC Victoria we have a pool of qualified and certified traffic control persons (TCP) or flaggers. We specialize in routing traffic in and around construction sites.

All of our crew are professional, experienced and come equipped with paddles and high visible flagging suits.
